Month End Scheduled grid outage 2am Monday 31st July 2023
A reminder to everyone that at 2am PDT/PST on Monday 31st July 2023 is our usual month end server maintenance day.
The grid will go offline at 2am until 4:30am that morning so that I can update firewalls, anti virus and general server updates.

Grid default currency DW$ current position
As you all know we recently upgraded the grid to the Yeti operating system and found that the money module did not work for DW$.

The default for new regions will now be Gloebits until a compatible money module becomes available. Existing region owners may have their regions converted to Gloebits by sending a request to our Helpdesk.

While regions still running DW$ will show your DW$ balance as DW$0 until there is a compatible money module, your actual balances have been retained and will resume as and when the module is updated.

1. Can’t TP out of the grid to any HG locations – Issue resolved HG is now working
2. HG Visitors can TP in but cant TP back home – Issue resolved HG visitors can return home

Ok… so the whole grid has now been updated to OpenSim V.0.9.2.2 Yeti. All regions are now online. There is a big BUT here…. The new version of the operating system does not support the DSL currency module, so therefore currency is not available on any region using DW$’s. The only regions with a working currency are the ones that use Gloebit G$…Read More

We currently have a problem with our main login server. I am unable to connect to it myself. Engineers are onsite looking for the issue (although they claim there is none, but the fact remains that nobody can connect). This is a priority call so hopefully we will have it resolved soooooooon!

Ooooops I forgot to update this post. The engineers found the issue and it was not with our servers but with their DNS client. Traffic to our login server was being rerouted to the never-region. All fixed now and the whole grid is once again up and running as normal 😉

A reminder of the maintenance being done tomorrow morning at 2am grid time (PST/PDT).
We have found a few bugs in the new operating system and will be changing a few settings during this maintenance. Which includes OSSL scripts and inventory transfer bugs. The grid should be back online at around 4:30am. Enjoy the rest of your weekend all – Danny
